Sunday Snapshot: The Friendly Skies

It's been a while since I've taken any recent photo outings, but I snapped this pic while waiting to leave from O'Hare over Easter weekend. I absolutely love airports - there is a tangible anticipation in the air, a future of possibilities that lay open and ready at the final destination of the travelers. The drop-off points by the check-in gates are full of hugs and farewells, while the baggage claims have plenty of smiles and "welcome back's." There's also the physics behind the actual act of flying that amaze me, but I try to keep the inner scientist quiet during take-off and landing.
