Destination: Koh Rong and Sihanoukville (Cambodia)


The second part of my Cambodian trip last year (first part here) took us away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sihanoukville is a seaside town on the west coast of Cambodia, and serves as a jumping-off point to a number of pristine islands that are a boat ride away. From there, we went to Koh Rong, an island where nobody checked their watch and just enjoyed the powerful beauty of nature. It was an amazingly calm locale, and many backpackers had taken up residence here in the middle of their travels as employees at the hostels and restaurants.
